How To: Open Windows 10 Apps Using Shell Commands

Recently, in How To: Open Windows 10 Settings Using Shell Commands, I told you about some carefully crafted Windows 10 shell commands that will allow you to jump straight specific settings pages. But, now I want to expand on that a bit by letting you in on some additional capabilities through shell commands that will allow you to open specific Windows 10 apps.

Using the same method as before, you right-click on the Start button, choose Run, enter the shell command, and then are whisked away to the specific app after clicking the OK button.

In the next article, I'll show you how to customize these shell commands to make each app actually do something.
