Encryption patch for Microsoft Web Servers and clients
Microsoft recently released an updated schannel.dll that corrects problems that arise when Microsoft clients contact non-Microsoft Web servers. The patch also corrects problems that arise from using Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 with non-Microsoft clients. The problem doesn't affect IIS when clients use Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). For more information, see the Microsoft article "SGC Connections May Fail from Domestic Clients."

Microsoft warns of Windows Media Services vulnerability
Microsoft released a patch to correct a vulnerability within Microsoft Windows Media Services. Microsoft Security Bulletin (MS00-013) says the vulnerability exists within the Windows Media Unicast Service. Packets sent in a particular sequence cause the service to crash. Check out TechNet for more information about this problem and a patch to correct it.
