Unless you have a calendar item to remind every 2nd Tuesday of each month, Microsoft's security updates now seem to just slip into view, thanks to the company eliminating its advanced notification service. I guess the belief is that the less we know, the safer we are (or something like that).
Today, the company is delivering 14 updates, with the normal range of products, but also one that specifically calls out Microsoft Edge. This one comes as a cumulative security update, meaning that multiple vulnerabilities have been identified and the company is now ready to patch them all.
We'll be digging further into each one, but wanted to give you a heads-up for what's coming your way shortly.
Details in the Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for August 2015.
