Disabling Remote Administration for Linksys Routers Vulnerable to the Moon Worm

If you’ve been following along here on Windows IT Pro, you know there’s a nasty piece of self-replicating malware in the wild infecting specific models of Linksys routers. Read all about it here: Update on the Linksys Router Worm, a Fix, and Further Actions.

The worm installs itself on Linksys routers and then seeks others around it to infect, as well. The current solution is to disable the Remote Administration feature for the router and then wait for a firmware update to release to fix the issue completely.
