Does 802.1x on wireless networks suffer from the same vulnerability as 802.1x on wired networks?

No. The "hub insertion with MAC spoofing" vulnerability applies only to 802.1x on wired networks. Because hubs can't be placed on wireless networks, 802.1x is more secure over the air than over the wire.
