GII Awards recognize companies and organizations that promote best practices and new models in Internet and network technology applications.Growth House manages the Inter-Institutional Collaborating Network on End-of-Life Care (IICN), a professional community forum linking more than 100 major healthcare organizations globally through online discussion boards, mailing lists, educational content, and multidisciplinary conferences regarding end-of-life care issues.Health and medical information retrieval services represent one of the Internet’s highest growth areas. WebBoard chat and bulletin board software helped IICN establish online collaboration among members’ medical professionals in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Spain. Growth House also extended WebBoard’s role to provide the infrastructure for end-of-life healthcare information portals with a regional or organizational focus. IICN-affiliated users can access numerous international resources and educational content from a common, remote database.
