Pivotpoint Buys Thru-Put

In its quest to expand customer supply chains and introduce extended enterprise applications for midmarket manufacturers, Pivotpoint acquired Thru-Put Technologies with unspecified amounts of stock and cash. The acquisition also will allow customers to take advantage of new Internet-based business models.The companies will combine their development, sales, product, and manufacturing expertise to offer customers a complete supply chain management solution. This effort will target manufacturing-centric enterprises to reduce inventory, improve return on assets, and increase customer responsiveness."Thru-Put's expertise and product depth strengthens our total offering for mid-level manufacturers, allowing our customers to react more quickly to competitive market requirements," says Steve Haley, Pivotpoint CEO.Thru-Put will continue to operate as a separate business unit at its San Jose, California, headquarters. Acquisition completion is subject to shareholder, legal, and regulatory approvals.
