Keep the existing source VHDs when performing a Storage Migration.
June 13, 2014
Q: I'm performing Hyper-V Storage Migrations, but I don't want the source VHDs to be deleted after migration. Is this possible?
A: Yes. Use the move-VMStorage PowerShell cmdlet with the -RetainVhdCopiesOnSource parameter. This will perform the migration but leave the source VHDs in the source location.
