New UI to Ease Creation of Virtual Networks with Virtual Machine Manager

Slapped together by a couple interns on the System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) team, Microsoft has released a small GUI, VMM Network Builder, to make creating virtual networks easier.

Based on feedback from customers about their pain points for virtual network creation, the tool was developed to help eliminate customer frustration when setting up VLAN-isolated networks using VMM.

The new tool requires VMM, of course, but can be applied directly to hosts or used to develop networking baselines that can be customized later on. In addition to adding a GUI to the process of virtual network creation, it also simplifies the long list of steps involved.

In addition to the VMM requirement, Windows Server 2012 R2 is also needed.
