JSI Tip 9820. How can I use the Group Policy Object Editor to modify a GPO on a specific remote domain controller?

To force the Group Policy Object Editor to modify a GPO on a specific remote domain controller:

1. Start / Run / dsa.msc / OK.

2. Select Active Directory Users and Computers .

3. Use the Action menu to select Connect to Domain Controller.

4. Type the remote domain controller name, into the Enter the name of another domain controller box, using the ComputerName.DomainName.DomainSuffix format, like JSI007.JSIINC.COM, and press OK.

5. Start / Run / gpedit.msc / OK.

6. Press DC Options on the View menu.

7. Select The one used by the Active Directory Snap-ins and press OK.
