A. No. Previously, RIS used single-instance storage to store files from multiple installation folders only once in the single-instance store. If the single-instance store was on the boot/system partition, the files from the host OS would also be detected and potentially removed to reference the single-instance store. Because Windows Deployment Services, in native mode and using only WIM files, doesn’t use single-instance storage, the RemoteInstall folder can be on the system/boot partition
