Q: How do I disable Group Policy caching in Windows 8.1?
A: To disable Group Policy caching in Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, perform the following:
Open the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC).
Create or edit a Group Policy Object (GPO) linked to the desired domain/organizational unit (OU).
Navigate to Computer ConfigurationPoliciesAdministrative TemplatesSystemGroup Policy.
Double-click Configure Group Policy Caching.
Select the Disabled setting, and click OK.
Close the Group Policy Editor.
After Group Policy refreshes on your clients, caching will no longer be used.
