When you attempt to use Sound Recorder to record a .wav file on a computer with more than 2 gigabytes of RAM, you receive:

Not enough memory available to complete this operation. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again.

Design decisions made during the development of the Sound Recorder application prevent it from running on a computer with more than 2 gigabytes of RAM.
