A. It is possible to disable the "Logon Using Dial-UpNetworking" check box when logging on by performing the following:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)

  2. Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionWinlogon

  3. From the Edit menu select New - String Value

  4. Enter a name of RASDisable

  5. Double click the new value and set to 1. Click OK

  6. Close the registry editor

The change will take effect at next reboot and the logon using dial-upnetworking box will be greyed out.
