Q. When you attempt to start Windows XP, you receive a 0x800705aa error, a 0x80070002 error, a 0x80004005 error, a 0x800405aa error, and a 0x80090019 error?

The subject errors are generally caused by problems in third-party software, like WinTools.

To resolve this WinTools issue:

01. Unplug the network cable from your Windows XP computer.

02. Remove the WinTools software from Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs.

03. Shutdown and restart your computer. During the initial startup, press F8 and start Windows XP in Safe mode.

04. Open a CMD.EXE window.

05. Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each line:

REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun /V WinTools /FREG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID\{87766247-311C-43B4-8499-3D5FEC94A183} /FREG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerBrowserHelperObjects\{87766247-311C-43B4-8499-3D5FEC94A183} /F

6. Shutdown and restart Windows XP.

06. Open a CMD.EXE window.

07. Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each line:

CD /D "%ProgramFiles%Common filesWinTools"del /F /Q WToolsA.exedel /F /Q WSup.exedel /F /Q WToolsS.exedel /F /Q WToolsB.dll

08. Clean up the hosts file located at %SystemRoot%System32DriversEtcHosts.

09. Delete all the files that have Wtools or Wsup in their name, from %SystemRoot% and all the %SystemRoot% sub-folders.

10. Shutdown and restart Windows XP.
