Q. How can I configure my Remote Desktop client to use a TS Gateway?

A. To configure a Remote Desktop client to use Windows Server 2008’s Terminal Services (TS) Gateway, the client must be running RDP 6.0 or later. Select the Advanced tab of the Remote Desktop Connection client and in the Connect from anywhere section, click Settings, and you’ll see a dialog box like the one below. Specify your TS Gateway name and select to ignore for local addresses. Click OK. Note that any connection you specify will use the TS Gateway automatically; once you’ve configure the TS Gateway in the Remote Desktop Connection client, TS Gateway will be used for all other connections.
