Thanks to Keith Furman for the tip: Netscape Communications has releasedits "TuneUp for IE," a free ActiveX control that brings the Netcenterservices of Navigator to IE users. It includes:

  • Smart Browsing with Internet Keywords. Just type the words or names you're looking for into the location field of your browser to be taken to a site for that product, company, or service.

  • Smart Browsing with What's Related. Use this dynamic list of web sites and services that are related to the site you're currently viewing to decide where to go next.

  • Integrated access to Netcenter, Netscape Search, My Netscape, Netscape WebMail, Netscape SmartUpdate, Netscape Member Directory and Netscape Contact.

The TuneUp, which is a tiny 40K download, can be easily uninstalled ifyou're not impressed. Check it out at the new TuneUp for IE site
