Microsoft began shipping Proxy Server 2.0 Wednesday, the company announced.The latest version of Microsoft's firewall software will sell for almost$1000, and it features enhanced security, server proxying, virtual privatenetworking (VPN) support, reverse proxying and Socks support. Thoughprevious versions of Proxy Server were aimed squarely at small businessesonly, Microsoft officials say the new version scales nicely for most users.

A 30-day trial version of Proxy Server is now available on the MicrosoftWeb site
