Microsoft Corporation quietly released Internet Explorer 5.01 this week, a release that fixes bugs while correctly problems I had complained about in Internet Explorer as long ago as 1997. If you're using IE 5.0, I strongly recommend upgrading to Internet Explorer 5.01 if only to get all of the security fixes that are available. Also, it partially fixes the annoying "new window" bug I've been griping about for an eternity.
