Thanks to everyone that wrote in with the tip: The Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) has posted the 120-day evaluation version of Windows 2000 to its MSDN Subscriber Downloads area. MSDN is making the Professional, Server, and Advanced Server editions available. Please note that this version of Windows 2000 will expire after 120 days of use, though you can upgrade it to the final full version of Windows 2000.

Only MSDN Universal and Professional subscribers have access to this site, however, and if you are such a subscriber, you may want to hold off until January 20th, because MSDN will then post the final, unrestricted version of Windows 2000. This version will have no time limit, though it will upgrade the 120-day version that's available now
