Microsoft Corporation on Monday announced the imaginatively titled PhotoDraw 2000 version 2, the second version of its PhotoDraw 2000 business graphics application. PhotoDraw 2000 version 2 offers tighter integration with Office 2000, as well as some new Web features that allow users to easily create and edit professional graphics that are suitable for print, the Web, or presentations.

"People today are incorporating graphics into their work on a more frequent basis, and PhotoDraw makes it easier for them," said Kathleen Hebert, general manager of the Office Family Division at Microsoft. "With this new release we focused on tight integration with Microsoft Office, so it is easy to create a graphic in PhotoDraw and then drag and drop it into a Word document, create a custom background for PowerPoint, or make a rollover and send it to FrontPage with minimal time and effort."

PhotoDraw 2000 version 2 includes a number of new templates and wizards, including the Save for Use in Word Wizard, which automates file conversion for Office users. PhotoDraw 2000 version 2 will be available in late October for approximately $90
