In tip 5446 How do I direct Internet Explorer 6 address bar searches at specific search engines, we used a Search_Engine_Keyword to direct an address bar search at a specific search engine.

To set the default address bar search engine, so that you don't have to type the Search_Engine_Keyword:

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Press the Search button on the tool bar.

3. Press Customize in the title bar of the left-hand pane.

4. Press Autosearch settings.

5. Use the two drop-down boxes to configure the search engine and results behavior.

NOTE: This will also work when you type the search terms into the Windows Explorer address bar.
