JSI Tip 6465. How can I standby or hibernate Windows 2000 or Windows XP from the command line?

When you run:

rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState

your computer will standby or hibernate based upon the setting at:

Control Panel / Power Options / Advanced / When I press the sleep button on my computer.

NOTE: One computer I have insists on hibernating even though When I press the sleep button on my computer is set to Standby.
