If you implement the Remove folders from Settings on Start Menu for users or groups system policy (User PolicyShellRestrictions) in your Windows NT 4.0) domain, your Windows 2000 clients can't print. They receive:

An error occurred during this operation.

This Windows NT 4.0 system policy set the NoSetFolders, which disables the Control Panel, Printers, and Network and Dial up Connections.

To workaround this problem, you must remove the system policy.

You could implement NoSetFolders for Windows NT 4.0 clients, via a registry hack, and implement NoControlPanel for your Windows 2000 clients.
