JSI Tip 3096. Windows 2000 error when you try to use a domain-based DFS share in Office 2000?

When you try to Open, Save, or Save As in Office 2000, and the target uses a \ServerNameDFSrootshare syntax, you receive any of the following:

You do not have access to the folder \domain. See your administrator for access to the folder.

The document name or path is not valid.
Try one or more of the following:
* Check the path to make sure it was typed correctly.
* On the File menu, click Open, Search for the file using this dialog box.
(\ServerName)

You must use the fully-qualified DNS name of the Active Directory domain, as in:

\ServerName.DnsDomainNamedfsrootshare

Where DnsDomainName would be something like JSIINC.COM.
