When you join a Windows NT 4.0 computer to a domain, the Domain Administrators global group is added to the local Administrators group, EXCEPT when you install network components and join a domain at the same time.

To resolve this issue, logon to the local machine using the Administrator account and add the Domain Administrators group to the local Administrators group.

In the future, restart the computer after adding a network component and use Control Panel / Networks to join the domain.
