JSI Tip 1088. Error when connecting to Domain share.

If your receive:

   An error occurred while reconnecting : to   \-or-    Microsoft Windows Network: The network name cannot be found.

it could be because the share name exceeds 12 characters.

To allow your workstation to connect to long share names, if SP3 or greater is installed, navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesRdrParameters

Add Value name AllowLongShareName as a type REG_DWORD entry and set the data value to 1.The default is 0, which does not allow reconnection to a long share name.

You must shutdown and restart your workstation for this change to take effect.
