A. Linkd is used to create directory junctions which are explained in'What are directory junctions?'.Originally a utility to create directory junctions was supplied in the coreproduct but has now been moved to the resource kit.

System Internals have written a clone of linkd.exe called junction which canbe downloaded from http://www.sysinternals.com/misc.htm#junctionand has some additional functions.
