I've joined a domain with a Windows XP client. Why have I lost the cool logon screen?

A. XP has a new logon screen that lists the accounts on the machine. You can click your account and type your password. After you join a domain, however, the system replaces this screen with the standard Windows 2000 logon screen because the system can't list domain accounts.

If you want the XP logon screen, you need to join a workgroup again.
