I can't logoff as my user profile quota is over the limit.

A. Service Pack 4 introduced PROQUOTA.EXE which allows user profilespace to be limited. In the event of the quota exceeded the user will not beable to logoff until the profile size has been reduced to within the limit.

If you need to logoff then you can simply stop the PROQUOTA.EXE process.

  1. Right click on the Task bat and select Task Manager

  2. Click the Processes tab

  3. Select PROQUOTA.EXE and press the "End Process" button

  4. Click Yes to the confirmation

  5. Close Task Manager

  6. Logoff

If you have the resource kit you could just enter the command

C:> kill proquota
