How do I remove NT from a FAT partition?

A. If you have NT installed on a FAT partition then youwill need to remove the NT operating system files and the NT boot loader. Toremove the files and the boot loader boot a MS-DOS disk with the deltreeutility copied and perform the following:

  1. C:

  2. DELTREE WINNT

  3. CD PROGRA~1

  4. DELTREE WINDOW~1

  5. CD

  6. DEL NTLDR.

  7. DEL NTDETECT.COM

  8. DEL BOOT.INI

  9. DEL PAGEFILE.SYS (this file may not be on the active partition depending onyour configuration)

  10. DEL BOOTSECT.DOS

  11. Boot up using a Win95 or DOS startup disk, and type SYS a: c:

  12. Reboot
