How do I limit the number of simultaneous logons?

A. Perform the following:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)

  2. Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanServerParameters

  3. Double click on the users value in the right hand pane. Set the type to decimal and then enter the maximum number of simultaneous connections. This will be 10 on a workstation

  4. Click OK and close the registry editor
