How do I enable Ctrl-Esc to start Task Manager?

A. This was removed in release 4.0 of NT and changed toCtrl - Esc - SHIFT, however it can be restored by editing the registry:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)

  2. Go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionWinlogon

  3. Click Edit - New - String Value and enter the name as TaskMan

  4. Double click the entry and set the value to TASKMAN.EXE and press enter

  5. Close the registry

  6. Reboot the machine
