A. A. It is possible to disable one or both of these
Start the registry editor (regedt32.exe, not regedit.exe)
Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerSubSystems
Double click on Optional
On each line is one subsystem, simply remove the one you wish to disable. If you want to disable both, set the value to Null
Click OK
Close the registry editor and reboot
