A. A. This can be disabled via the registry:
Start the Registry Editor (regedit.exe)
Move to HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop
Double click on Coolswitch
Set to 0 and click OK
Close the registry editor
You need to restart the computer for this to take effect.
