Last weekend, I read a great article explaining ActiveX and COM in Byte Magazine and I'm pleased to mention that it is now available online too.Oddly, one of the authors of this article, David Chappel, is responsiblefor a thoroughly confusing and low-level book about ActiveX from MicrosoftPress called "Understanding ActiveX and OLE." Don't be put off by this,however: if you've been looking for an understandable explanation of thistechnology, Chappel's "ActiveX Demystified" article is highly recommended.
