Use OneDrive to Share Even Bigger Files with Outlook.com

Microsoft announced today that it has updated its Outlook.com consumer webmail service to accommodate the bigger file sizes now allowed by the OneDrive cloud-based storage service. That is, the Share from OneDrive feature in Outlook.com now supports files up to 10 GB in size.

So there's not much to say here, really. This functionality works as it did before. It just supports bigger files. In other words, it's all good news.

To share files this way, open Outlook.com, start a new email message and then choose Insert and then Share from OneDrive.

And here's a video explaining the change.

Also, in case you missed it, Microsoft finally added this kind of sharing functionality to OWA and OneDrive for Business in the business versions of Office 365. Check out Microsoft Further Integrates OWA, OneDrive for Business in Office 365 for the details.
