Microsoft and Windows IT Pro have added two post-conference workshops to next month's major SharePoint Connections event at the Amsterdam RAI. The two full-day sessions, "Developer Deep Dive into SharePoint 2010" and the "SharePoint Server 2010 Administration Workshop" will be held on January 20, the day after the conference's main agenda of over 40 seminars on January 18 and 19.
The "deep dive" masterclass for developers will be taught by Netherlands-based self-confessed extreme programming addict and author Wouter Van Vugt, an Open XML MVP and contributor to developer community sites like OpenXmlDeveloper.org and MSDN. The administration workshop will be presented by Microsoft senior premier field engineer and EMEA Office Servers technical lead Neil Hodgkinson along with independent architect Spencer Harbar, one of only 22 people worldwide to hold Microsoft Certified Master for SharePoint 2007 accreditation.
SharePoint Connections will be the first SharePoint 2010 launch event in Europe and details of all sessions have now been posted to the event's website. Visitors will be able to choose from over 40 seminars and workshops in four streams from luminaries like Microsoft senior technical evangelist Steven Fox, big-business SharePoint architect Richard Taylor and MCSE +I, CISSP and MVP Michael Noel.
With speakers from all over the U.S. and Europe, all sessions will be presented in English and the conference also includes an exhibition featuring over 20 solution providers. Training provider U2U will be providing free Belgian beers at the Monday evening SharePint social event.
Early-bird registrees can save €100 by booking before December 21 -- recommended because places are filling up fast. There are limited seats at the post-conference workshops (which cost extra) and although they have only just been scheduled in, reservations are also already being snapped up.
