I'd like to know how many people I'm sending a newsletter to without manually counting them. Is there a way to count automatically?

Listing 1 contains a CountRecips subroutine that you can run as an Outlook macro. Put the code in an Outlook Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code module, create the message, then press Alt+F8 to bring up the Macros dialog box. Select the CountRecips subroutine, then click Run. If you're running a version of Outlook with the Outlook E-mail Security Update, you'll need to click Yes when you see the address book security prompt. After that, you'll see a message box with the number of recipients in the message.
