When I drag a message with an attachment to my Tasks folder, where does the attachment go?

Outlook provides no easy way to use a message with an attachment to create a new task that includes both the attachment and the text of the original message. Dragging a message to the Tasks folder copies only the body of the message into the new task's text window. To include the attachment, you need to copy the attachment manually.

When you right-click and drag the message to the Tasks folder, you see a pop-up menu with several options, including Copy Here as Task with Attachment. This option copies the entire message—including the attachment—into the task. The drawback of this method is that it doesn't copy the text of the message into the body of the task. The entire message appears in the task's text window as an attachment.
