More Windows Update Issues Emerging

In addition to the reported issue with KB2817630, there are new details emerging within the IT Pro community that additional Windows Updates this month are causing frustration.

The issues reported are for the following updates:

  • KB2810048

  • KB2760411

  • KB2760588

  • KB2760590 (If Excel 2007 viewer is installed)

On the patch mailing list and the NT System Admin Issues mailing list, customers are confirming that the patches are not installing but are detected on the client side as failed and a reinstallation is being requested.

Operating Systems affected so far are Windows 7 and Windows XP.
