Magazine Announces Best of Show Finalists

Windows & .NET Magazine to name winners at Tech Ed 2003 in Dallas

Windows & .NET Magazine

announced the finalists of the Best of Show Awards for Tech Ed 2003, which will be held June 1-June 6 in Dallas. The field included more than 211 entries in 7 categories. The Best of Show judges, who are technical editors for Windows & .NET Magazine, will choose the winners during Tech Ed 2003. Windows & .NET Magazine will announce the winners at a private function on Wednesday, June 4. The list of winners will be publicly available on Thursday, June 5. 

Finalists in the messaging category are HyperSoft Information Systems’ OmniAnalyser,

IXOS’s IXOS-eCONserver for Microsoft Exchange, and NetIQ’s AppAnalyzer for Exchange. Finalists in the mobility category are Citrix Systems’ MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Feature Release 3; Sprint/Hitachi’s Hitachi G100 PPC/Phone; Synchrologic’s Synchrologic Mobile Suite; and Dell’s Dell Latitude D-Family Wireless Notebooks.

 

Finalists in the collaboration and productivity category are Teamplate’s Teamplate for .NET, Legato Systems’ Legato RepliStor, Vmware’s VMware GSX Server, and Citrix Systems’ MetaFrame Conferencing Manager. Finalists in the networking/infrastructure category are

Unisys’s ES7000/500, Hewlett-Packard’s NAS/SAN Fusion with Microsoft Exchange 2000,

Aelita ERDisk for Active Directory, and NEC Solutions’ Express 5800/320Lb-R Server.

Finalists in the security category are elQnetworks’ FirewallAnalyzer, Protocom’s Protocom SecureLogin Password Management Suite, and Sanctum’s AppShield.

Developer tool category finalists are Altova’s xml spy 5, ProClarity’s ProClarity Analytics Platform, Crystal Decisions’ Crystal Reports, and ComponentOne’s ComponentOne Studio Enterprise.

Finalists in the management category are Microsoft’s Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), NetIQ’s AppManager Suite, BindView’s bv-Admin for Windows, Heroix’s Heroix eQ Management Suite, and Hewlett-Packard’s OpenView Operations for Windows.
