How can I find the ObjectGuid of a Microsoft Exchange Server Store?

A. Certain Exchange operations require registry changes on a specific Store entry. Each entry is listed with the Store's objectGuid, which is not readily available. To view the objectGUID, use the ADSI Edit tool to perform the following steps:

  1. Start ADSI Edit (Start, Run, adsiedit.msc).

  2. Expand the Configuration branch, then expand Services - Microsoft Exchange - - Servers - - InformationStore - .

  3. Right-click the information store in the right pane and select Properties.

  4. Scroll down on the displayed dialog box and read the objectGUID value as the figure shows.

Unfortunately, you need to read the entries from right to left for each component, so in the example that the figure shows, the objectGUID would actually read DF39DE7F-C8C1- . . . However, the first few characters should help you recognize the registry value. The Ldp.exe tool shows the objectGUID in a friendlier fashion, as the figureshows, so you could use that method if you prefer.
