How can I check on the shutdown state of an Exchange Server 2007 Information Store from the command line?

A. You can use the Eseutil /mh command to search for the State line, which will show a clean or dirty shutdown. For example,

eseutil /mh f:exchangedb3mailbox3.edb | findstr State
State: Clean Shutdown

Note that you can run this command only on a dismounted Store.
