Fax Gateway. It was no contest, really. A large majority of Windows IT Pro readers valued Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS) 2003's built-in Shared Fax Service more than any competitors. Shared Fax Service provides fax services to client computers in a small-business network. Users can send faxes from their desktop through a shared fax modem or interface, administered through SBS. Administrators can configure calling times and priorities and can manage the fax queue. To avoid tying up client computing or causing network traffic jams during broadcast fax jobs, the Shared Fax Service permits spooling of documents from the client computer to the server.
