FAQ: Get local version of Office via Office 365

Q. I have Office 365. How do I get a version I can run locally on my machine?

A. If you have an Office 365 subscription you not only have access to the online versions of Office, you can also install Office locally on your machine. To install navigate to http://www.office.com/ and on the home screen. This has an option to Install office using the Click-to-run option which is using the App-V technology to minimize the footprint on the machine and to enable a less intrusive installation. Also on the home screen is information on clients for other platforms.
