The marquees of Las Vegas blaze continuously with the names of entertainer superstars—but in our .NET developer world, the true superstars will be at The Mandalay Bay hotel and conference center for the fall 2011 DevConnections conference. I've always found the fall Las Vegas DevConnections conference to be an exciting, energetic event—maybe because of its location but also because I get to meet and mingle with many.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, Silverlight, and SharePoint development experts and "rock stars" in one place.
So, who are some of the stars on the bill for the upcoming DevConnections, October 31–November 3, 2011?
Scott Guthrie: the co-creator of ASP.NET and now Microsoft Corporate Vice President, Server Tools & Business, will keynote the Microsoft ASP.NET and Microsoft Silverlight Connections co-located conferences.
Dave Mendlen, Senior Director, Developer Platform and Tools, will keynote Microsoft Visual Studio Connections.
ASP.NET and Silverlight Connections speakers include well-known experts (some of whom are longtime DevProConnections authors) Dan Wahlin, Dino Esposito, Brian Noyes, Stephen Walther, and Paul Sheriff—to name just a few.
Visual Studio Connections speakers include DevProConnections authors Michele Leroux Bustamante, Dino Esposito, and Julie Lerman, SQL Server Magazine author Bill Vaughn, and many more!
In addition to the ASP.NET/Silverlight and Visual Studio co-located conferences, the DevConnections event includes Windows Azure Connections, SQL Server Connections, SharePoint Connections, Windows Connections, and Exchange Connections. The seven co-located conferences offer sessions, labs, and pre- and post-conference events covering the gamut of the Microsoft platform developer, SQL Server professional, and IT professional world.
