A. Mac OS X users can rest assured that their bundled video editing software is best-of-breed, but that doesn't mean that there's no room for improvement. Since shipping Mac OS X last year, Apple has updated iMovie 2 with the iMovie Plug-in Pack 2.1.1, which includes several new professional video effects, transitions, and titles. The company has also provided access to dozens of royalty-free music and sound-effect files that you can use to enhance your iMovies. The iDVD 2 update, version 2.0.5, includes more efficient DVD-burning capabilities and several bug fixes. In addition to these updates, Apple has provided other OS X-related upgrades during the past several months, including updates to iTunes, DVD Player, Airport, and much more. Visit the Apple Mac OS X Downloads page for more information.
