SuperSite for Windows has been evolving since the start of the new year right along with Microsoft and the rest of the industry. BYOD and IoT are transforming the way we all work and live and we're changing with it.
We’re striving to meet the changing needs of technology professionals and enthusiasts like you who are buying, using and managing all kinds of enterprise level technology in your companies and businesses, as well as in your before and after work lives. And with Microsoft courting iOS and Android app makers and many of you facing the challenge of providing access to Windows products for your staffs and colleagues (and yourselves) on MacOS, iOS and Android, we've going to focus more on that trend along with our core Windows coverage. We've introduced new writers and features focused on just that and we're getting good feedback so far.
Now we have a new editor I’d like you to meet who will help shape and execute our SuperSite content strategy, Lisa Schmeiser. She's equally passionate about and at home in the worlds of Microsoft, Apple, Google and beyond. Schmeiser is a veteran tech journalist who joined us from InfoWorld, where she most recently was the newsletter editor and cultivator of InfoWorld’s social media outlets, and also managed to report, edit and blog. Previously she served as senior associate editor of Macworld and Executive Editor and Senior Editor of macworld.com. Schmeiser was also a blogger for the San Francisco Chronicle and reported for Investor’s Business Daily. In her spare time she writes and edits a curatorial newsletter as a testbed for developing best practices for organic audience building and engagement, hyperlinking and content presentation.
This is an extraordinary time for Penton Technology. We are growing rapidly, hiring new staff, and revamping our content strategy to serve your ever changing need for information, insights, research and expert how-to content. We’re expanding our eLearning and events too. That’s also due to the recent acquisition we made of iNET Interactive, whose sites, newsletters and forums include Data Center Knowledge and The WHIR, and tech consumer-focused Windows Secrets, Overclockers and MacForums. Penton Technology now reaches more than 2.8 million IT and Channel professionals and ProSumers. Read more about the iNET Interactive acquisition and Penton Technology.
Schmeiser will continue to work closely with me and with Penton Technology Engagement Director and myITforum founder and Director Rod Trent as we roll out ambitious new plans for our IT pro and ProSumer properties. We're looking for more experts and writers so if you're interested in contributing to SuperSite, please reach out. We’ll keep you posted and we want to hear from you. She’ll be reaching out to you in the coming weeks to solicit your feedback and ideas. You can reach her at [email protected].
