A: To easily find out the security ID (SID) and Relative ID (RID) that are linked to the account you used to log on to Windows, type the following Whoami command at a command prompt:
whomami /logonidThe RID is the last part of the SID. On Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2003, Whoami is included with the OS. On Windows 2000, it's part of the Resource Kit; and on Windows XP, it's included in the Support Tools.
